Evening of Excellence

On Wednesday 27th November we had the pleasure of welcoming back the class of 2019 to Kelmscott for our Evening of Excellence to celebrate their outstanding results. Our students and their parents thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Our student musicians were amazing: thanks to our Yr11 pianist and the school band. Special thanks to our keynote speakers Charlotte McKenzie and Rachelle Anderson, you both inspired and motivated our students.

On the 31st of January 2018 Kelmscott School host its inaugural ‘Evening of Excellence. We celebrated the amazing results from our class of 2017. Students were presented with certificates by the mayor of Waltham Forest and the top five best performers were awarded with gift vouchers. Thirty of our current More Able students from year 10 and 11 were also invited.

Our class of 2017 and their families thoroughly enjoyed the evening’s proceedings. They all left feeling celebrated, inspired and motived. Both keynote speakers Mr. Kent Teague (Director of Leyton Football Club) and Mr. Mohsin Zaidi (Kelmscott School Alumni and Barrister at 6KBW College Hall) shared messages of encouragement, motivation and inspiration.

Our students also had the opportunity at the end of the night to seek one to one advice from our keynote speakers and the mayor of Waltham Forest who were very willing to share their journey and expertise with our pupils.

Our current year 10s and 11s ended the night feeling determined to be a part of next year’s celebrations.

We at Kelmscott School would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to everyone who attended and everyone who contributed to making this event such a success.
