Post 16

Kelmscott  offers a bespoke Post-16 provision. the focus is on personalised learning, learning and developing wider skills necessary for the workplace and further study, and qualifications that reflect students' needs for an independent identity.

This provision is aimed at students  who arrive in the country at Key Stage 3, or Year 10 or 11, or SEN students would like to spend an extra year in school before moving onto college.

Our mission is to help every student achieve more than they  though possible, whether the next step is education or entering the world of work. Our Post 16 curriculum is in tune with the needs of the employment market and aims to prepare our sixth form for a changing society. We expect all students to move onto college or work at the end of their time on the Sixth form.

Your Post 16 options are among the most important decisions you will ever have to make; decisions shape your future. affecting where and what you study at university, and the fulfilment of your career aspirations.  At Kelmscott  you will benefit from small classes dedicated subject staff, which will enable you to maximise your academic potential - but Kelmscott also recognises your need to become more independent and to take responsibility.

The Post 16 team will be there for advice and guidance in all matters, and especially in preparing you for the challenges ahead. You will be treated as adults, being listened to and forming part of the decision-making process on student issues at school.
