*Please Read* Delay With School Opening

With reference to my letter of 25th August, I am writing to inform families that, regretfully, there has been a further delay in the handover of the new building; it will not be completed, as hoped, for the safe return of students in time for the start of the new academic year.
The start of school for students will now move forward by one day as follows:
Year 7 only, start on Wednesday 6th September
Years 8 - 11 return on Thursday 7th September (all year groups in)
I will of course inform families immediately if there are any further changes that affect the above, following meetings on Monday 4th. Please be on the lookout for a message from the school, just in case.
I apologise unreservedly for any inconvenience this may cause, it is not a decision I have taken lightly - I know it is less than ideal. The lost day of teaching will be made up later in the school year, the exact date will be confirmed in due course.
