Good afternoon Parents/Carers,
I hope this message finds you and your families as well as possible, in the circumstances. I can confirm that school will be open tomorrow (09/05/23), the senior leadership team have been working hard, planning for the challenges of this week. I have prepared an assembly for students that I will lead personally tomorrow first thing for all year groups. Support will be in place for our students straight away should they need it. I will write to families with more detail, on our response to this tragedy, tomorrow afternoon. I am looking forward to seeing our students tomorrow despite the inevitable sombre mood, I know we will find strength as a group, and find ways to support one another. Thank you to all of you who have sent supportive and kind messages over the weekend, they have been very much appreciated. I feel somewhat reassured that an arrest has now been made, in connection with Renell’s death. If you have any particular concerns about this week, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us in the usual ways.
